That’s why we recently launched our Clarke Transport Photo of the Month competition — giving our team the chance to showcase their journeys, creativity, and pride in the Clarke brand.
We’re delighted to announce that March marked our very first Photo of the Month competition, and the response has been fantastic.
A Fantastic First Month
For our first ever competition, we received over 30 entries from across the business, with submissions coming in from multiple depots and drivers across the UK. From scenic countryside views to busy dockside operations, each image captured something unique about life at Clarke Transport.
The quality of entries made judging extremely difficult, with each photo showcasing:
- Stunning locations across the UK
- Strong Clarke Transport branding
- Creativity and effort from our drivers
- Professional-quality photography
It’s clear that our team takes great pride in representing Clarke Transport on the road — and that’s exactly what this competition is designed to celebrate.
How Entries Were Judged
Each submission was carefully reviewed by the Clarke Transport Marketing Team and Director Mark Wilson, using the following judging criteria:
- Photo Quality (clear, well-framed, good lighting)
- Creativity and Uniqueness
- Clarke Branding Visibility
- Location and Backdrop
- Effort Taken to Capture the Shot
- Overall Impact
After careful consideration, we are proud to announce our first-ever winners.
🥇 1st Place – David Cuthbert | Glasgow Depot
“Any Weather, Anywhere”
Taking first place in our very first Clarke Transport Photo of the Month is David Cuthbert from our Glasgow Depot with his entry titled “Any Weather, Anywhere.”
This image immediately stood out to the judging panel. Featuring a Clarke Transport vehicle positioned against a stunning snow-covered mountain backdrop, the photograph perfectly captures the reliability and reach of Clarke Transport.
The composition of the image, combined with the crisp winter conditions and clear Clarke branding, created a powerful visual that reflects what Clarke Transport is all about — delivering quality service, no matter the conditions or location.
The effort taken to capture this moment, along with the overall impact of the image, made this a deserving winner for our first-ever competition.

David will receive a voucher and official Clarke Transport Photo of the Month certificate.
🥈 2nd Place – Gordon Cherry
“Belhaven Best”
Coming in a very close second place is Gordon Cherry with his entry “Belhaven Best.”
This image impressed the judging panel with its strong Clarke branding, well-framed composition, and unique location. The setting provided a great backdrop, while the clean and professional appearance of the vehicle made the image stand out.
This was an excellent entry that came very close to taking the top spot.

🥉 3rd Place – Craig Stanley | Ossett Depot
“The Wind Peak Vessel, Hull Docks”
Taking third place is Craig Stanley from our Ossett Depot with “The Wind Peak Vessel, Hull Docks.”
This image captured Clarke Transport in an impressive industrial environment, featuring a striking dockside backdrop and large-scale infrastructure. The unique location and strong branding visibility made this another standout entry.

Monthly Competition – Keep the Entries Coming
The Clarke Transport Photo of the Month competition is now officially running every month, and we’re excited to see even more entries moving forward.
Each month:
- 1st Place will receive a voucher
- Winners receive a certificate
- All entries gain recognition across Clarke Transport
- An overall Grand Prize Winner will be selected at the end of the year
This competition is a great way to showcase:

- The people behind our operations
